Time to explore. Forbsy won’t be in the park until after about 4.00 so we are only four as we head back into Airlie Beach.

No, on further investigation the people are actually in eyesight and they are not moving. The babbling of the creek is actually the sound of the falls.

The half hour in the water goes all too quickly. Getting back in the big boat, I cant get the wetsuit off quick enough and start warming up.

In my opinion we started late, finished early and given the cost is the same as we are charged at home on Illusion we got much less value for the day

The clothes lines are all full and we need to rig up the portable one to get them dry. Its wind still, even in the protected park and we need to peg the legs into the ground lest we may need to rewash the sheets

Robyn attacks her slice with vigour. I snap a shot of her, mouth full of vanilla slice.

The eel out of the water, I wander next door to Forbsy for confirmation, a photo and assistance with release. This is done quickly and the fish is returned to the briny depths.

It is spectacular in the least. Colour changes and flashes co-ordinated to the music make for great still and video photography. I even managed to get a full darkness shot, with enough light to illuminate the picture, because from our vantage point in the centre of the arena you can see through the building to the lit up waterfall behind

There is much toing and froing as well as gnashing of teeth as some days things are booked out, others the weather doesn’t look good. We end up with a list with everything on it and a bill which will keep the local economy buoyant for some time.

There is one more stop to make. An ice cream vendor on the way. One which uses local fruits, grown on the farm to create delectable treats for the tourists. We are those and we are savouring them, given we have been loaded up with a selection of their fare.

Silver Leader and Forbsy need beer and we could do with some bubbles for Robyn and a bottle of bourbon. Once back I return a call from my son, who introduces us to his new girlfriend, Anna, and discusses the purchase of a new house.
