Travel Diary
Here We Go Again – Chapter 00 – Foreward
Dorothea MacKellar said it best – “I love her far horizons, I love her jewel seas, Her beauty and her terror, The wide brown land for me” – My Country. Enjoy my ramblings as once again we Travel Around Oz.
Silver Schoolies No More – Chapter 1 – The Transition
Whatever decision we make, for now its all about the wandering, the seeing, and the recording of our adventures in words and pictures.
Around Oz the First Time – Chapter 2 – The Test Runs
Robyn has had enough. Everything that could have happened has happened and happened to her in her opinion.
Here We Go Again – Chapter 1 – Getting Ready
I spent a day running around, refilling the gas bottles, the jerry cans for petrol (for the generator) and diesel ( as a “just in case” for the Cruiser) and placed and refilled the drinking water jerry cans. The reservoirs in the van have been turned over continually as we use the van on the shorter jaunts.
Silver Schoolies No More – Chapter 2 – Kalbarri to Carnarvon
Set up and ready for the first night on our own, Robyn has pangs of loneliness but we have a normal dinner and being in a decent sized regional centre we have TV reception, so we settle in.
Around Oz the First Time – Chapter 3 – Smiths Lake to Port Macquarie
Aren’t we good – one day in and we are yet to resort to alcohol! The wind is dying down, there is a brief shower of rain. We turn in early ready to hit the road to Lennox Head in the morning.
Here We Go Again – Chapter 2 – Smiths Lake to Coffs Harbour
Sleep is an easy effort. It has been a long day and evening but the joy of the fellowship with our friends made it a very memorable first day on the road.
Silver Schoolies No More – Chapter 3 – Carnarvon Day 2
Bark is lost and with bark removal comes blood – my blood.
Around Oz the First Time – Chapter 4 – Port Macquarie to Lennox Head
Remember how I said we had been alcohol free day 1, well day 2 might be a little different.
Here We Go Again – Chapter 3 – Coffs Harbour to Lennox Head
Slowing down, that damn alarm blares again. Upon getting to the park it stops as Robyn opens her door. Must remember that for the next Toyota dealer to look at.
Silver Schoolies No More – Chapter 4 – Carnarvon Day 3
Meandering around the country, starting early. Just what we are trying to catch up on now.
