Here We Go Again

On the road again with Silver Leader, his wife Rose and Forbsy. A slightly different plan this time, with much less time constraints but with plenty of unexpected issues like Covid. Forbsy needs to be home early but will be with us up the east coast. Thankfully we have Silver Leader with his administrative skills to work us through the over booked caravan parks and weather of indifference. In time we will part from them too but for now its three vans off again on a adventure around Australia

Here We Go Again – Chapter 20 – Yeppoon Day 4

Forbsy cannot help himself, he builds a cairn. As a couple walk past, in my best David Attenborough voice I suggest that on their right is the rare Forbes Cairn Stacker Bird. They laugh, I take pictures of him and move on.

There is line taken, there is splashing and because of the shallowness of the water, dragging whatever it is may be symptomatic. Eventually it is close enough to ascertain it is a turtle

This family is very close knit. They certainly do not live in each others pockets but they are a unit.

The walk from the spot of Robyn reading to the waters edge is some 200 metres or more. We pump some fresh nippers before heading out to the creek

We are, for that matter, all interested in a better life. Why? Because we want ours to be better than the next man, and there lies the failure in society

Time to explore. Forbsy won’t be in the park until after about 4.00 so we are only four as we head back into Airlie Beach.

No, on further investigation the people are actually in eyesight and they are not moving. The babbling of the creek is actually the sound of the falls.

The half hour in the water goes all too quickly. Getting back in the big boat, I cant get the wetsuit off quick enough and start warming up.

In my opinion we started late, finished early and given the cost is the same as we are charged at home on Illusion we got much less value for the day

The clothes lines are all full and we need to rig up the portable one to get them dry. Its wind still, even in the protected park and we need to peg the legs into the ground lest we may need to rewash the sheets
