Here We Go Again

On the road again with Silver Leader, his wife Rose and Forbsy. A slightly different plan this time, with much less time constraints but with plenty of unexpected issues like Covid. Forbsy needs to be home early but will be with us up the east coast. Thankfully we have Silver Leader with his administrative skills to work us through the over booked caravan parks and weather of indifference. In time we will part from them too but for now its three vans off again on a adventure around Australia

Here We Go Again – Chapter 90 – Broome Day 12

The fishing is slow but not uneventful. A couple of very promising bites encourage prolonged attempts. From time to time we up stakes and move towards the receding tide. By the time I have “caught” a number of “weed fish” we are several hundred metres under the high tide mark.

Many of the patrons leave well before the moon gets directly above, not that we want to wait until midnight either. What it does allow, is that although we are getting great shots from our vantage point, there are palm trees in most shots.

At the office, notes on the wall suggest tonight is going to be a super low tide, exposing much of the reef just off the beach. The office also has treats like vanilla slices and chocolate brownies that suggest to Robyn she might have morning tea all day tomorrow in this space.

Reeling quickly I catch up to the fish. The way this is going it will be on the beach shortly. Just at the back of the waves, there is a major change. Apparently, the fish has realised it is hooked and its current direction will have it gasping for water very quickly.

They are experienced campers in the area. They talk of Wreath Flowers to be found about the time we would be in Geraldton and the massive machinery of the Pilbara. I talk of my want to visit Marble Bar, they suggest it is more interesting than one might think.
