Condobolin should never be visited without looking at the ute “museum”. The ingenious ute owners have created a display, oriented around the ute. I pull in and get Robyn to take a photograph of every one.

Around Oz the First Time – Chapter 97 – Condobolin Day 2
Proud and stubborn, I finally got Aunty Kerre and her son Mitchell to apply for a Rotary Relief Grant, which they automatically qualified for, to assist them with fuel for his business and other necessities
Around Oz the First Time – Chapter 98 – Condobolin Day 3
The rain has set in now, remaining that soaking rain and not the turbulent storms predicted that might have simply run off taking much of the topsoil with it.
Around Oz the First Time – Chapter 99 – Condobolin to Home
So we are home, almost three months to the day since we left. We catch up with our neighbours, who have been looking after our mail and keeping a watch on the place. We share a bottle of wine with them, then we head next door to the lady who has been reconstructing our garden, and here we consume significantly more alcohol. This time in the form of vodka and juice.

Most vans cut corners as well. On our van we have a “Do not overtake a turning vehicle” which allows you on tight turns to drift into the lane away from the corner, assuming you have available space, and drivers behind should not try to duck in under you as you turn into the corner.
The Long Way Home – Chapter 4 – Gladstone Day 2

The Long Way Home – Chapter 5 – Gladstone Day 3
While waiting for Robyn to complete her tests I received an email from an accounting client wanting urgent work completed. A suggestion that I would not be able to even look at the work until the testing was completed are met with “why not”
The Long Way Home – Chapter 6 – Gladstone Day 4
The train even made a “special” stop to let us off closer to their house than have to alight at Narrandera Station and walk home. The perks of the job I suspect.
The Long Way Home – Chapter 7 – Gladstone Day 5
I created a folder of them on the back end of the website, but when I go to upload them into a blog the folder is not evident. I suspect another “user error” issue
The Long Way Home – Chapter 8 – Gladstone Day 6
In time we are off to John’s place where we are faced with the entire Gladstone Parnaby Clan rather than the intimate gathering we were expecting. Everyone has brought something to nibble including some large prawns
The Long Way Home – Chapter 9 – Gladstone Day 7
Back in Builyan there is the coffee shop we were supposed to meet at the start of the day. It is named Kirsten’s Cottage and given our daughter’s name is Kirsten we must take a picture of it and send it to her.
